This piece resonated with me on so many levels. Loved the Ira Glass quote. The courage section reminded me of the Roosevelt quote about being in the arena that Brene Brown cites. Thank you for sharing, and Iā€™m subscribing.

This piece moved me so much. It is a must for all creatives. (And now I secretly want to be your friend - wow, that sounds pretty creepy.) Subscribed!

Wow this is a great piece of writing. So much wisdom for us all. I published a post today, itā€™s not perfect how I want it but I decided to publish it anyway to allow the next work to flow through. šŸ˜ŠšŸ™

I'll also add that the word "courage" comes from the Latin "cor," which means... heart! So courage for me is leading with the heart. It's not always easy, but the heart never lies. Another thought... there comes a point in your life (usually when you realize that your time here is very limited) when you can simply not live, and write, any other way than what feels true and courageous; when you can no longer suppress the stories your heart years to tell, no matter how difficult it may be to tell them. "We tell ourselves stories in order to live," said Joan Didion. So you must write! :)
