Rewild Your Writing starts on May 26th!
Rewild Your Writing is finally here!
Hello dear one,
How have you been? I’m writing to you from my very sunny writing desk this morning, heart overflowing with joy to bring to you what was once a little seedling, growing in the dark of winter, and now in it’s full bloom in the season of May.
This project has been a labour of love. I’ve been working on it for months, and it has taken up a significant amount of my time, which has prevented me from writing more consistently for Substack. So, I hope you love this offering as much as I do. I appreciate your patience.
(P.S. There has been a name change, from Writing Landscapes to Rewild Your Writing)
The first-ever Seasonal Writing Retreat, ‘Rewild Your Writing’ is starting on May 26th, here on Substack.
For the lovers of the way the light filters through the trees, or the birdsong on a summer’s eve, the shifting of the seasons, and what this means for our lives. It’s for those who howl at the bright moon, and tend to the roots of their writing.
This is a cohort unlike any other. A cohort of writers who are rewilding their words.
What You'll Experience
Over 5 weeks, you’ll enter a co-writing space designed to:
Reignite your creative flow by syncing with seasonal rhythms and wild landscapes.
Cultivate a nature-connected writing practice rooted in reciprocity and presence.
Develop sustainable habits that support your creativity long after the course ends.
You’ll engage in writing exercises, guided readings, embodied time in nature, and meaningful community connection — all through the lens of rewilding.
What You’ll Walk Away With
By the end of our time together, you will:
Feel creatively reawakened and in deeper connection with the Earth
Learn how to write alongside the more-than-human world — not just about nature, but with it
Embrace “rewilding” as a metaphor for creative freedom and authenticity
Establish a sustainable, joyful writing practice grounded in place
Connect with a like-hearted community of nature-inspired writers.
Weekly Themes
Week 1: Returning to Place
In the first week, we’ll explore how we cultivate a deeper relationship to place. How can landscapes become more than simply places we inhabit? We’ll weave webs of belonging through tending to our relationship to place and landscapes through writing.
Week 2: Naming Place
Explore how language reflects and shapes our bond with the land, beyond simply identifying.
Week 3: Planting Seeds
Make space for your creativity through rituals, consistency and practice. Reclaim your worthiness to write.
Week 4: Embodied Landscapes
Let your body guide your words. Through embodied writing, we will utilise our body and senses to engage with the world around us, and transform this through our words.
Week 5: Giving Thanks
In the final week, we close our journey with gratitude, reciprocity, and reflection — weaving these values into your creative life.
How It Works
Each Monday (starting May 26), you’ll receive a rich, inspiring lesson directly to your inbox — no Zoom calls, no pressure, just deep nourishment at your pace.
You’ll also get weekly writing prompts, recommended readings, and gentle encouragement to spend time outdoors.
Our private community space will be open for sharing, reflection, and support throughout our time together.
